Bridge project earns professional award

NORTH Tyneside’s £3.5m Blue House Bridge project has scooped an award from the Institution of Civil Engineers North East.

The project, completed on time and on budget last year, scooped the top award in the project under £4m category in this year’s Robert Stephenson Awards.

The award recognises a partnership of North Tyneside Council, contractor Carillion Civil Engineering and design consultants Scott Wilson.
