North East Boots wins award

THE Alliance Pharmacy on Church Walk in Walker, which was awarded the Boots 2009 title of ‘Local Pharmacy Store of the Year’ at an internal awards ceremony earlier this year, was renamed ‘your local Boots pharmacy’ this week.

District Nurses from Walker Medical Group have been using the pharmacy for 25 years and they cut the ribbon on the day. The Walker Technology College school choir also sang for staff and customers on the day.
