NORTHUMBERLAND-BASED drug-maker SCM Pharma has picked up a substantial new project with one of the world’s biggest pharmaceutical companies.
The manufacturing firm that specialises in producing high-tech drugs for clinical trials has been tasked by Sanofi-aventis for the production of a new cancer product.
The ‘radio-labelled’ product will be filled under sterile conditions and then released at SCM Pharma’s state-of-the-art Prudhoe facility before being packaged at Sanofi-aventis and sent to clinical trial sites in Europe.
