Former winner backs latest digital awards

A SMALL firm that won three titles at an annual ceremony recognising the best of the region’s digital businesses has returned to back this year's event.

Indigo Multimedia won the best youth enterprise website, best example of accessibility and best use of online film and video at the 2008 North East Digital Awards.

Now the Newcastle-based company has signed up to become an associate sponsor for the digital suppliers best website category at this year’s awards, which are also backed by nebusiness.

Indigo director and co-founder Glen Burdis said: "After our triple Digital Awards win, we are now keen to ensure that innovation in the digital industry continues to be championed and celebrated.

"The North East of England has some amazing talent and innovative businesses in the digital industry that deserve to be celebrated."

The awards, which are funded by One North East, are organised by the North East Regional Portal and are open until February 27.

All entries submitted before January 9 were also automatically entered in the internet and ICT category of The Journal’s nebusiness awards.
