A SUNDERLAND vet is setting up a new practice on the former PDSA animal charity site in the city.
Wendy Rowntree, who previously worked at Roker Park Vets, is opening for business as Kings Road Veterinary Practice in Southwick.
She has already recruited two vet nurses and aims to take on an additional vet and a receptionist in the near future. “It’s been my lifetime’s ambition to go it alone and run my own practice, after working for local vets for the past 11 years I think now the time is right to head up my brilliant new team,” said Ms Rowntree.
She launched the business with an open day for new customers on Saturday and officially opens today.
