A FIRM set up by a mum in Hexham to be close to home while her children were growing up is moving into the new Northern Design Centre now her business is growing too.
r//evolution marketing was established in 2002 by Gill Burgess from Corbridge. Now her children are older and the business has expanded, she has moved into the landmark building which opened this year on Gateshead’s Baltic Quays.
Ms Burgess said: “Hexham has served us very well over the last 10 years, but I’ve now found our ideal offices and it’s time to relocate.
“We have built up a solid client base with clients repeating business with us, I have a team of talented people and this is the next step for the company.
“I’ve been quietly building the business up in the Hexham countryside and it now feels right for us to move to Northern Design Centre in order to be at the centre of the creative hub.
“The new office will enable us to enhance our client servicing with the use of new technologies, provide our staff with an excellent working environment and develop our client portfolio.
“We will have access to hi-tech conferencing facilities, fast and powerful broadband connectivity and creative presentation suites which are at our fingertips.”
r//evolution now works with clients in the North East, Scotland, Yorkshire and Hertfordshire and with SMEs and multi-nationals across a number of sectors from tourism, enterprise and regeneration, outdoor, equestrian, construction and engineering.
Leader of Gateshead Council Mick Henry said: “Northern Design Centre is more than just a superb building with great facilities. It’s about creating the right environment for creative businesses like this to thrive. Businesses are choosing to move here to be at the centre of creativity, to work alongside other innovative organisations and be part of the hotbed of talent that is developing here.”
