A NORTHUMBERLAND entrepreneur is moving from cleaning ovens to making just about everything else sparkle with her new business.
Christine Peel, who ran the local Ovenu environmentally friendly oven cleaning franchise for four years, found her new niche after repeatedly being asked by clients about how to keep their stainless steel kitchen appliances and tiles cleaner for longer.
Ms Peel, who is based in Kirkwhelpington, said: “After some research I found EnduroShield, a product from Australia that has only been recently launched in the UK, which applies an environmentally friendly, invisible, non-stick protective coating on stainless steel, glass and tiled surfaces, making them up to 90% easier to clean.
“It also means that harsh chemicals are no longer needed for routine cleaning, enabling the client to lead a greener lifestyle.”
The product, which can also be used on cars, is the market leader in Australia, New Zealand, the US, Canada and Spain.
Christine has now set up Clean Less, which has sole distribution rights throughout Northumberland and certified applicator status for the product. She said: “We are looking forward to bringing EnduroShield to the region and, as well as applying the protective coating for domestic clients, we are looking forward to working with other businesses such as architects, new and used car dealers, tilers, glazing companies, solar panel suppliers and kitchen and bathroom fitters.
"We'll also be helping the owners of hotels, B&Bs, holiday cottages, shops and commercial kitchens keep their environments hygienically clean more easily.”
She is so confident about the new business that she is now selling the Ovenu franchise to concentrate solely on Clean Less.
