A HAIRDRESSER has swapped her scissors for clippers to concentrate on canine clients.
Lifelong dog lover and former boxer breeder Lisa Hague decided to strike out on her own by opening the Grooming Room in Newbiggin in Northumberland. She is washing, grooming and trimming around 10 dogs every day.
“This is something I’ve always wanted to do. I’ve already built up a growing list of regular clients from all over Northumberland and I’m looking to develop new services and products in the coming months.”
Lisa took the plunge after taking business advice from BizFizz coaches Jan Grieveson and Graeme Trotter, who are able to advise potential entrepreneurs about start-up practicalities.
Jan said: “I’m pleased to see that the advice BizFizz gave Lisa has helped her set up this successful business. Often the impartial support given to a client on matters such as finance or business planning can really make the difference by helping that person to start on the right footing.”
BizFizz coaching is a free service for businesses in the Wansbeck area.
