Business Link to host self-employment workshops

A NUMBER of sessions for people considering starting their own business are being staged across the region by Business Link.

The Be Your Own Boss workshops, looking at whether self-employment is right for someone and what transferable skills they have, will be held in February and March in Jarrow, Darlington, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool and Newcastle.

Further sessions covering Understanding Accounts to Sourcing Finance and Researching Your Market will also be held at venues across the North East.

A series of events are also being held under the Hi-Fly programme, which is aimed at people who have an idea for a high-growth, lucrative enterprise. Those courses are being held in Newcastle, Sunderland, Chester-le-Street and Darlington.

Those already in business are being invited to Business Link’s Keep Your Business Fighting Fit events, which look at tackling problems such as negotiating with banks, marketing on low budget and ways to maximise staff potential.
