ROYAL Vopak (Vopak) is the world’s largest independent tank terminal operator specialising in the storage and handling of liquid and gaseous chemical and oil products.
Vopak operates a growing strategic network of 84 terminals in 31 countries and serves the UK fuel, chemicals and bio fuels market through three strategically located marine terminals in Teesside, London and and Windmill (Glamorgan) with a total capacity of just under 720,000 cubic metres.
Vopak Teesside is fully integrated within the UK’s largest chemical cluster and is the company’s main bitumen import facility.
The terminal also incorporates five fully automated fuel road loading bays which have gasoline and diesel additive injection systems.
The state-of-the-art road fuel loading bays provide one of the safest and quickest loading systems in the region.
Vopak Teesside is served by three deep water jetties; the terminal handles 150 trucks a day and more than 500 vessels a year with vessel sizes up to 45,000 dead weight tonnes.
The Teesside terminal has 12 pipeline connections to plants in Wilton and Billingham providing continuous delivery and in some cases delivering directly into the process.
