Nearly 1 in 4 entrepreneurs in North say the coalition Government has been bad for business

FOLLOWING the recent party conferences, RSM Tenon has carried out a survey which shows that nearly a quarter of entrepreneurs in the North say that the coalition Government has had a negative impact on their business.

Results also showed that just over half thought the new Government had made no effect on their businesses whatsoever.

But it wasn’t all bad news – 25%, or one quarter, said that the coalition Government had been good for business, but this was slightly lower than the UK figure of 27%.

Neil Sevitt, RSM Tenon Regional Director for the North, said: “Entrepreneurs in the North are clearly divided in their opinions here.

“With over half saying that it had made no impact on their business and the rest split between having a negative or a positive experience, the Chancellor will clearly have a lot of work to do to convince them that the government is putting business at the front of the agenda.”
