YORKSHIRE Building Society Charitable Foundation has now donated more than £3m, with more than 7,000 charities and local good causes receiving funding. Society members have donated £1.5m of the total as part of its Small Change, Big Difference scheme. The Charitable Foundation receives most of its funding through the scheme, where members donate just the pennies from the interest earned on their accounts, which together makes a huge pot of money. Society members are then invited to nominate charities and good causes to receive support.Read
