Water firm is top at pleasing its customers
A RECENT independent study* of 1,000 conveyancing solicitors nationwide has thrown up some startling results about the acceptance and importance of the CON29DW – drainage and water – search and, on a regional basis, has shown that Northumbrian Water Property Solutions (NWPS) is number one for customer satisfaction.
When asked specifically about seven separate areas of satisfaction, respondents from North East law firms scored NWPS highest in all categories, with an average score of 4.7 out of a possible 5. Categories included ease of ordering, quality and clarity of information provided, speed of turnaround times and overall customer service.
Looking in more detail, over 70% of respondents were “very satisfied” with both clarity and quality of information and ease of ordering.
These findings are testament to the hard work and dedication of the NWPS staff, and their commitment to offer the best service possible to customers. It is especially satisfying to gain such recognition from customers in what has been such a tumultuous 18 months.
One solicitor commented: “It is quicker, we get them [searches] straight back, it is more efficient than going through a third party.”
Focusing on the CON29DW search, the study found that, nationally, 90% of solicitors would recommend that their clients order this search if it was no longer a compulsory document under the Home Information Pack Regulations. This rose to 96% in the North East. This was higher than any other search report and highlights the importance of the enquiry in the conveyancing process. In the North East, over 80% of respondents believed that the CON29DW search should be compulsory in all residential property transactions.
The results of the study show that the CON29DW search is nationally recognised as a vital part of the conveyancing process, within the current HIP regulations or not. It also clearly shows that Northumbrian Water Property Solutions is the benchmark for efficient, cost-effective search provision.
